Indonesian Children From School Jubilee International School Abu Dhabi International Robot Olympiad Champion


Achievement prides successfully achieved by sons and daughters of Indonesia in Abu Dhabi in Robot Design Competition at the International Robot Olympiad (WRO) Arabia, which covers the Middle East and North Africa.

The competition was held on May 4, 2011 was attended by 1,500 students from countries the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Egypt, according to a press release Embassy of Indonesia in Abu Dhabi received by AFP on Saturday.

Teams from schools Jubilee International School Abu Dhabi, UAE, represented by Sita Ilmidani Taribi (11 years), Suta Ilmidani Taribi (11) and Adina Naura Salsabila (10) won first prize at primary school level.

They are the sons and daughters from among professionals from Indonesia who worked in the petroleum industry of Abu Dhabi.

Embassy in Abu Dhabi noted there are 248 students / mahaiswa Indonesia who are educated from elementary to master's and doctoral degrees in various schools / local universities that have international accreditation.

Students from Indonesia were won first prize in the General Category type (Regular) to design and program a robot in a certain period.

The jury set the Indonesia's three children as a winner because of their design robot worked well through a series of defined tasks of the committee, namely through a winding hallway in the shortest time possible and climbed down the ladder on uneven surfaces.

According to the Head of the Abu Dhabi Education (ADEC), Dr. Mugheer Al Khaili, winner of the competition WRO Arabia 2011 will be included in a kind of international competition to be held in November 2011 in Abu Dhabi as well. WRO Arabia 2011 is organized by Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) bring into three categories: Regular, Open and the Football category, with three age groups: Elementary , Junior High School  and High School .

Ambassador M. Wahid Supriyadi in remarks delivered in the midst of community meetings in conjunction with the arrival of the Head of BKPM, Gita Wirjawan, expressed his happiness as this can raise the good name of Indonesia in the UAE. Indonesia is better known as one of the largest sending country maid.
